As a companion to his plein air collection illustrated in Oh, Shenandoah, Andrei has created a unique series of paintings of the interstate routes running through the historic Shenandoah Valley landscape: I-81, I-66 and I-64.  The works thus become important symbolic vestiges of our time, providing images that are also satisfying and beautiful. These paintings will only appreciate in their relevance as the landscape transforms due to development and urban growth, much as the works of painters of the past are now valued for capturing notable places and times gone by.

Collectors participating in the Presale will also be acknowledged in the beautifully produced book, to include essays by Virginia historian Warren Hofstra and the artist, and distributed by the prestigious University of Virginia Press, and will receive a printed copy of the book autographed by the artist.

The Presale opportunity will be available only between April 24 and May 22, 2021.  All paintings are offered for this limited time at below the regular retail value.  The final price will be reduced again by half, with the purchaser donating the other half to the publisher's not for profit American Land Publishing Project, which will finance the book.  The book will be distributed by the University of Virginia Press, and will be commericially available at all booksellers, etc.

Presale paintings will be available for viewing during this period at American Painting Fine Art, Washington, DC.  All Presale paintings are sold on a first come basis.  Liberal lay away, and no interest financing are available. All sales are final.  The price list for the paintings follows the images below.
